We represented an architecture firm to negotiate an AIA Document B102–2017, Agreement Between Owner and Architect without a Predefined Scope of Architect’s Services, for a housing development project under a homelessness initiative. Key provisions secured the architect’s compensation despite potential government funding delays. We also tailored the scope of services to the architect’s specific project role, hence choice of the B102-2017, an AIA contract form with no predefined scope of architect’s services.
