Lawsuit Filed to Foreclose $7.7M Mechanics Lien on Hospital

We used a mechanics lien claim to protect our design-build client’s large investment in a complex, multi-phase renovation project involving extensive demolition and reconstruction. Facing a significant payment dispute, we focused on early, cost-efficient dispute resolution and actively pursued amicable settlements through negotiation and mediation with key project stakeholders. Our goal was to preserve relationships, keep the project on track, and protect the interests of all involved. However, when these good-faith efforts did not yield a satisfactory resolution, we sued to foreclose our client’s $7.7 million mechanics lien claim, starting complex litigation involving dozens of defendants.

This shows our firm’s commitment to both collaborative problem-solving and aggressive advocacy. While we focus on cost-effective, early resolutions, we are prepared to litigate strategically and forcefully when necessary to secure the best outcome for our clients.
