We represented an architecture firm to negotiate an AIA Document B104–2017, Abbreviated Form of Agreement Between Owner and Architect, for a new manufacturing facility and office building. The project had a construction budget of about $11 million and included over 40,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and an 11,000 sq ft, two-story office building. The architect’s scope included all phases of design and construction administration, as well as coordination with several engineering and specialty consultants hired separately by the owner. The total fee for the architect’s basic services was about $200,000.
