$15M Residential Compound Contract Negotiated in Mountain West

Representing the architect, we negotiated an Owner-Architect Agreement, and its amendments, for a luxurious residential compound in the Mountain West, with a construction hard cost budget exceeding $13 million and an architect’s fee approaching $2 million, exclusive of site acquisition costs. The project encompasses multiple structures, with over 17,000 sq ft across a main single-family home, recreational and other accessory buildings, with associated site work. Adding complexity to the project, the scope included coordinating utility extensions, developing private wells and on-site septic systems, and managing geotechnical investigations. In addition to negotiating the contract, we provided counsel to our client on matters of project execution including regulatory and conservation matters.
