Agreement Negotiated for $8M Design-Build Education Project

We represented an architecture firm to negotiate an AIA Document B141–2024, Agreement Between Design-Builder and Architect for a Traditional Design-Build Project, for an $8.2 million expansion of a nursing program at a community college. The project, encompassing over 15,000 sq ft within an existing building, involved the renovation and reconfiguration of the space to create nursing laboratories, classrooms, and student learning areas, including furniture, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E) design and an assessment of building infrastructure. The architect’s fee was about $750,000 and included the retention of structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEP/FP), audio-visual, and specialized equipment consultants.
