Agreements Negotiated for $60M 70-Unit Mixed-Use Project

We represented an architecture firm to negotiate initial and later agreements for an approximately 70-unit residential project in an upscale beach town, where owner’s construction budget was around $60 million. The first agreement was a limited-scope document for planning approval and schematic design services, carefully defining services, compensation, and milestones, while excluding the broader services of a full architectural contract. Later, we negotiated a full AIA Document B103–2017, Agreement Between Owner and Architect for a Complex Project, covering design development, construction documents, and construction administration through project completion.
