We helped an architecture firm to negotiate an architect-subconsultant agreement for a project involving landside improvements at a major airport terminal. The project scope includes airport terminal curbside expansion, vertical circulation enhancements, a pedestrian bridge, and improved access to the airport automated transit system. The agreement, retroactive to the start of the subconsultant’s services, outlines basic and additional services, compensation, payment terms, insurance requirements, and intellectual property ownership, and it incorporates the terms of the architect’s prime contract with the airport authority and emphasizes coordination with other specialty consultants.
