Architect Agreement for International Airport

We represented an architecture firm to negotiate an AIA Document B101-2017, Agreement Between Owner and Architect, with an airline to design a new business lounge for a $400,000 fee. The project involves the design of the approximately 7,000 sq ft lounge, with reception, bistro, business center, restrooms, and back-of-house functions. Located within a leased space in an existing terminal, the project focuses exclusively on interior construction, with no changes to the exterior envelope. Negotiations considered the unique challenges of designing within an active airport environment, including adherence to the airport authority’s stringent design and construction standards and procedures.
