Complex $123K Mechanics Lien for Architect

We recorded a $123,000 mechanics lien against a commercial property for unpaid professional services related to a renovation and adaptive reuse project. Navigating the process required addressing complex real property issues, including multiple parcel identification numbers, intricate legal descriptions, and various ownership and tenancy interests. These interests included the primary owner, a tenant company experiencing significant internal turmoil, and many other tenants leasing space within the area subject to the mechanics lien, causing us to defensively “allocate” our lien to various portions of the property.
