Intellectual Property Secured with License Agreement

We represented an architecture firm whose former client wished to revive a dormant design project using the architect’s original plans. We negotiated a license agreement that allowed owner to proceed with a new design-builder while protecting our client’s intellectual property rights and ensuring appropriate compensation for the use of their designs. The agreement also included important provisions limiting the architect’s liability and requiring the owner to engage a successor design professional, under the design-builder, to oversee the project’s completion.
