Licensing Fee and Liability Release Secured in Strategic Transition

We negotiated a walk-away agreement for our architecture firm client on a private school renovation project where the owner, seeking cost efficiencies, decided to engage a different architect after the schematic design phase. The agreement allows our client to conclude its services while retaining ownership of its intellectual property. In exchange for granting the owner a limited license to use the schematic designs, our client secured a six-figure licensing fee. The agreement also provides a complete release of liability for our client, protecting them from any future claims related to the project.
