We recorded a $320,000 mechanics lien related to a complex, multi-phase restaurant and bar build-out in the downtown core of a major U.S. city. The project, undertaken for an ENR Top 100 Design-Build firm with a portfolio exceeding $6 billion in completed projects, involved architectural design, construction management, and closeout services for distinct areas within a mixed-use building, carefully navigating the interests of multiple parties whose adjacent interests in the property we carefully excluded from the mechanics lien claim. The work was performed under a cost-plus-fee contract structure for an upscale restaurant brand. We successfully secured payment for our client, without having to sue.
