We represented an industrial property developer in a mediation before a former federal judge against an architecture firm for design negligence related to an industrial building. The architect’s errors included improperly sloped loading docks, misaligned support columns, inadequate space for door mounting tracks, and undersized dock levelers. These defects created safety hazards, limited functionality, and required costly repairs. Through mediation, we successfully advocated for our client’s position, highlighting the architect’s liability and the significant costs incurred to correct the design flaws. Our efforts led to a favorable outcome for our client, avoiding protracted litigation and achieving a desirable resolution.
