Firm Negotiates Interior Design Contract for Hotel Renovation

We represented an interior design firm to negotiate a consulting services agreement with a casino hotel owner for the redesign of a hotel lobby, corridors, and around 65 guest rooms. The project, part of a larger hotel renovation, included conceptual design, documentation and specifications, and installation oversight for furniture, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E). The agreement, totaling $275,000 in fees for design services, delineated the scope of the designer’s responsibilities, excluding architectural and engineering services, which were provided by others design firms. Contract negotiations also addressed compliance with relevant gaming laws and regulations, given the project’s location within a casino hotel complex.
